MY REAL JOB.
With first-time home buyers, there is still a good bit of education that needs to be done. I like to sit down with them even if they’ve done their homework, because it’s still an intimidating process that I like to guide them through. No one uses voicemail anymore, a huge trend with my customers is that our communication is now solely through text message. I tell every one of them when they leave, you’re welcome to use my cell number. I hope they feel I am genuinely giving them the absolute best customer service that I possibly can.
MY REAL LIFE.
You have to be an Alabama football fan if you want to live in this town, so Alabama football is a big part of what I do when I’m not working. I have a cabin in rural west Alabama that I enjoy going to. It’s a family farm. I enjoy going there and having some downtime, gardening and spending time outdoors.
I have one daughter who just graduated, currently working with me during her gap year. She’ll be attending a professional school next year. I also have a daughter who’s currently a sophomore at the University.
MY REAL STORY.
Tuscaloosa is a unique market. We’re definitely a college town; over the last 10-12 years we’ve seen huge expansion and growth with the University of Alabama, essentially doubling the size of the campus footprint, pushing 40,000 students. Basically, a whole mini-city within the city. However, it still has a small town feel where we go to church with our clients, we go to the grocery store with our clients, we even play ball with them. Very much a small-town atmosphere.
I always tell customers there’s three things I want you to remember: Here’s your interest rate, here’s your payment and here’s how much money you need. If I’ve done my job correctly, these three numbers will be very much the same when we get to the end. I don’t like any surprises at the closing table.EMAIL ME
