Northwest Arkansas is one of the top 20 growing sectors in the U.S., so it’s a market with a lot of opportunity. We conduct monthly home buying seminars for first-time home buyers and for Millennials. They are the fastest-growing buyers right now.
Millennials are a segment of the market which is much more digital. They’d rather text than talk, they like doing everything online. They can scan their documents and upload online. It’s a lot easier to get to us compared with what their parents had to do.
Each of us in this office are working hard at serving this market and positioning the company as the lender of choice.
MY REAL LIFE
My family and I moved here almost five years ago after living eight years in Denver. We moved back to Arkansas because my wife’s parents are in Little Rock. I like to do anything sports related – we attend all the Razorback football games and all the baseball games, too. Mostly, I just like hanging out with family in my spare time. We’ve got one little granddaughter who recently turned two.
MY REAL STORY
In a lot of ways, we’re in the information and consulting business. We’re not only helping people buy that house, we’re teaching them what happens after that, too. We tell them their house payment isn’t the only expense they’re going to have on a monthly basis. There is ongoing maintenance expense, taxes, and “life happens” where the tree goes through the roof. So, we like to make sure that they’ve got either an existing savings account or we work to establish some type of emergency fund.
More and more people know us in the market now as the people who do what we say we’ll do. That’s the biggest thing I can get across to everybody: If we say we’re going to do it, we’re going to do it. What we promise, we deliver.
